For venues, operators & safety teams
Is your venue MobileFlare Aware?
MobileFlare is more effective when the people around a distressed crowd member know what the signals mean. If your stewards and safety teams recognise the colours, response time drops dramatically.
The problem MobileFlare solves
Your teams deal with this at every event. Something goes wrong. The performer stops. Security can see there's a problem somewhere in the crowd. But locating the specific person, in a standing crowd of thousands, in a dark venue, with 100dB of ambient noise, takes time that medical emergencies don't have.
The existing tools all have the same limitation: they require a mobile signal to function. At capacity events, networks are congested. GPS-based panic apps often fail at exactly the moment they're needed most.
"Finding the person who needs help, in a standing crowd of thousands, takes time nobody has."
MobileFlare solves the visibility problem. It works with no signal, no data, no registration. A crowd member in distress holds their phone above their head. It activates at full brightness in a colour that tells your team exactly what kind of help is needed before they even reach them.
The colour system
The colour system is designed to be unambiguous and immediately actionable. Your stewards and medical teams don't need training, they need to have seen this card once.
Why venues are adopting MobileFlare
MobileFlare doesn't replace your existing safety systems. It adds a communication layer that currently doesn't exist, giving crowd members a way to make themselves visible and communicate their needs before help arrives.
Stewards arrive knowing what kind of help is needed. No time lost to assessment on approach, the right team responds with the right equipment.
A flashing full-brightness screen is visible above a crowd from significant distance. In dark venues and standing areas, it's the most visible signal an individual can produce.
The yellow signal gives you early warning of crowd pressure building in specific areas, before it becomes critical. This is particularly relevant for festival standing areas and football terraces.
No contracts, no licences, no hardware. The only ask is that your safety team knows the colour system. One briefing card is all it takes.
Venues have a legal and moral duty of care to attendees. Adopting MobileFlare awareness is a demonstrable, practical step toward meeting that obligation at no cost.
Being listed as a MobileFlare-aware venue tells your audience that their safety is a priority. In a competitive events market, that message matters to attendees and their families.
MobileFlare is free to download and free for your attendees. Venue awareness requires nothing more than your safety team knowing the four colours. We ask for nothing except awareness. In return, your venue is listed as a safety-conscious partner that your attendees can trust.
Getting started
There is no formal process, no paperwork, and no cost. Adoption needs three things: your safety team knows the colours, your guests know about the app (QR code and posters available), and you let us know so we can list you as an aware venue.
Share the reference card image with your safety team leads. It can be saved to a phone lock screen or printed and laminated. It shows all four colours, what each means, and what action to take. Takes ten seconds to absorb.
One mention at your next event briefing is sufficient. "If you see a phone screen lit up or flashing in red, yellow, green, or blue, someone is signalling for help. Move toward them." That's the whole briefing.
Download the venue poster and display it at entry points, near the stage, or in toilets. It explains the system to attendees and includes a QR code to download the app. The more people who download it before an event, the more effective the system becomes.
Use the contact form at the bottom of this page to tell us your venue or company name. We'll add you to the awareness partner listing below. Being listed tells your audience that you take crowd safety seriously.

MobileFlare works best when everyone on site knows the colour system. That means venues, promoters, security companies, and crowd management teams. Whoever is responsible for safety at your event, this is for you.
If you manage or operate a venue, becoming MobileFlare Aware means your permanent staff are briefed on the colour system regardless of which promoter or security company is working each event. Your building. Your responsibility. Your commitment to every crowd that walks through the door.
This covers arenas, stadiums, theatres, clubs, festival sites, and any space that hosts public events.
If you are an event promoter, crowd management company, or security provider, your team may be resident, move between venues or involved in training and industry awareness. Becoming MobileFlare Aware means your team and colleagues are briefed and ready, making every event you work safer from the start.
This covers promoters, event organisers, security contractors, crowd management firms, and stewarding companies.
